YOUNG BOY RAISES THE ALARM Mon 21st April 2008 |
| |
| A young boy was praised for his quick response when he spotted smoke coming from the home of his neighbour, Mick Gormley, in the Loughbollard housing estate in Clane last week. And while Paddy Donovan was alerting the neighbours off-duty detective Austin O'Callaghan, who happened to be passing, went into the house and brought Mr Gormley, the only occupant of the house at the time of the fire, down from the top of the stairs. The neighbours also played their part by dragging from the front lawn a caravan which was in danger of catching fire. |
