Naas is set to become the first Age Friendly Town in Co. Kildare.

01.03. 2013

Tuesday 12th March 7-9 pm Naas Town Hall.

Tell us what YOU think!

Naas is set to become the first Age Friendly Town in Co. Kildare. We invite you to be part of this National initiative to make YOUR town a place that is sustainable, accessible and enjoyable for current and future generations.

This community based Project is of importance and value to the whole community. Your views and experiences are invaluable and will help to shape Naas as a great place in which to grow old. This will potentially place Naas on the map as a regional, national and European level.

The Project is an initiative of the Ageing Well Network and the Kildare Age Friendly Programme. County Kildare is recognised as an Age Friendly County by the World Health Organisation. County Kildare is affiliated to the World Health Organisations Global Network which addresses the twin global challenges of demographic ageing and urbanisation by focusing on the environmental, economic and social factors that contribute to active and healthy ageing in societies.

Please come along to hear more about this exciting Project and share your views and experiences with us at an Information evening which is being held in the Town Hall, Naas on Tuesday 12th March from 7-9 pm. For further information/ confirmation of attendance, please contact Brigid Butler at 087 2236558 or email Christine at Christine@ageingwellnetwork.ie
