| |
| Gerry Gannon, a co-owner of the K Club in Kildare, recently purchased development land worth an estimated €26.5 million from the upscale golf club which hosted last year's Ryder Cup. The business man, along with a Michael Smurfit, bought the K Club in June 2005 for €115 million, and acquired 100-acres of adjacent farmland as part of the deal. Gannon subsequently bought the right to personally acquire some of that land from the K Club for €20 million. |
